The Epic Games Fortnite Team have now reported a “Major Outage” for login services and the matter is currently being investigated. Matchmaking and social connection issues have now been reported as well. To stay up to date on their status page https://status.epicgames.com/

Some people are receiving an error whilst trying to log into Fortnite through the Epic Games Launcher receiving the error “There was a communication issue while contacting the account server. Please try again later.” and Error Code AS-0 or even just AS-. This comes just shortly after the server issues yesterday in which a high influx of players caused the servers to struggle with some people having to wait nearly an hour to play the game.
Epic Games site has shown no downs for account servers in which the issue has seemed to arise. With all services currently being accordingly operational, we suggest attempting to contact Epic Games if the issue does persist. Any Updates will be made here so be sure to keep an eye out for the follow up to what may be causing these issues.
